Definitely too small. If it’s small it’ll outgrow
In 4-6 months. This depends on feeding and water quality.

Hello; Just curious about when the fish is no longer a baby. What was the plan for when it outgrew the current tank in a few months?

Let me put it another way. That you included the term "baby" seems to indicate an understanding the tank is way too small for an adult. So many have bought fish which get too big for their current tanks in the hope they will have the bigger tank when the time comes. A large number seem to never get that big tank. Not sure of the numbers but know this has happened. I see few options at such a point.

My suggestion is to get only fish that can fit well into the tanks we have when the fish are adult. To get the big tank first and have it in place before getting the fish. Just my point of view.

Some says the ideal tank size for arowana should satisfy the formula
FISH LENGTH = 3 times tank length
by this formula my 90 cm length aquarium can contain a 30 cm long arowana right ??? because 3 times 30 equals 90 .
i am very very eager to have an arowana .its my dream , i have had lots of fish in the past and i am not a beginner in this hobby . i will care it very well and i have a very good filtration system.
plz help me

Hello; Even using your preferred formula it will not work. Just did a quick search finding that an arowana can reach 120 cm (47 + inches). More typically 60 to 78 cm in an aquarium (24 to 30 inches). Search on bing gave those numbers.

I also ran your tank size thru this sites tank calculator and came up with 94 1/2 liters (25 gallons). I just do not see this happening with a good outcome.

I get that you have chosen to skip over my question.

I would still like to know the plan. Of course feel free to disregard.

Hello; Not sure having a strong desire overcomes the apparent fact that your current tank is very very much too small. Have I missed something?

I think the issue is it’ll grow quickly and are u able to house it in 6 months. I’ve seen members mention a tank atleast 8x4 is needed for one for life.

When the time when my aquarium is small for the arowana comes i will sell it
can you tell me when is that
i am not disregarding your answers i am so glad that u replied to me

I’m not sure as growth can vary but ur a typical silver aro can grow like 1.5 in per month. I’d imagine in 6 months, if small, you’ll be needing to sleek it if this is ur plan.
