First post and I'm just new here. Looking for help. My FH just turned pale. Really really pale. Almost white. He eats, around 5-10 pellets but not moving much. He just stays at the bottom corner of the 20 gal tank. 80°F. I changed the water 70-60% about 3 days ago and he was just fine.

Any thoughts? I'm worried he might not eat next.

How big is he?
What are your water params?
Your likely problem is too big a fish in too small a tank. The completely bare environment only adds to its stress.

I’d add some type of darker substrate to see if his colors darken up, if you look at the picture you can see it’s vent area there’s a brown spot sticking out, that could be something or possibly just a breeding tube. What’s the tank size and parameters?
