My paroon shark was fighting with my african marbled lungfish overnight untill they woke me up and i moved the lungfish to a seperate tank. This is what is left of my shark and he is still alive believe it or not and he seems to swim fine and im hand feeding him. I really dont want to kill him but he is starting to get fungus on his wounds and im cleaning them by hand. Does anyone have anymore help with this issue?

Thanks,
Keith

I am unfortunately at a loss on how to help you. but im sorry that this happened to you.

Well, I'd keep doing what you're doing, see how it works, and if nothing improves for a little while, you'll probably have to dispose of him in a good, preferrably not painful, way.

Im so sorry to hear this has happened to your shark.. the wounds look absolutely painful. If this were my shark, and with such extensive wounds (and infection setting in) i would probably humanely uthenize him. Just the facts that he cant see, cant eat on his own probably ever again without you doing it for him and now a secondary infection i just dont know how he's going to pull through..

Best of luck to you, and please let us know how he's doing--

yeah. that lungfish put some work on him.

don't scrub it you'll make it worse the best thing to do is to put it in a hospital tank and crank the temp up to around 82F and add some salt and after a day or two add some melafix it doesn't look good if it can't eat its a goner it doesn't have eyes to if it can still smell then it has a chance but if it doesn't have wiskers its in trouble

Damn, well this might heal but will scar badly. About the only hope this fish has (should you choose to try and save it) is quarantine, good water, stable and slightly warm, salted water (1tbsp/5G), maybe some melafix, and a good mix of antifungals and antibiotics. Try the "fungus clear tabs" by Jungle labs, or mix methylene blue, malachite green, and nitrofurazone together if you want to formulate your own meds.
Good Luck.
