Help, we've got this freakin 1.5 metre long mangrove moniter in my garden, its been usin my fish pond as a swimmin pool and only gets out when me arapaima and gatot gar wake up.....its gettin really annoyin.....has been splashin in and out of pond and nearby bushes...lots of rats in the area so he's gonna stick arnd.....anythin i shld do?

Can you trap him? That's what I would here...just set up a live trap and bait it up. When you snag him haul him several miles away and set him free.

Both snares and chicken wire tube traps work with large lizards, if it is damaged in capture monitors are a bit strong in flavor but make good satays with a pepperered peanut/coconut milk sauce.

Wow, I wish I could have stories like that to tell. The lizards of the US aren't very impressive (except the gila monster and beaded lizard). I'd just do like they said, buy/find/kill a rat and leave it in a trap. Should catch it pretty easily.
