I am unemployed right now, so I donating my time to help this facilty that helps childeren with special needs with some large fish tanks. Everything at this little zoo has been donated, so I have to work with what is already there. I would like to get opinions on stocking these tanks, and I am think some fish need to moved around, which will be quite a project.

Tank 1-I think it is a 150g+ tall. It is 4' long, 3'+ wide and about 3' deep. Filtration is a fluval canister filter. It is one of the larger ones.

Stock:

2 oscars
2 male JDs
1 jewel cichld
1 African peacock cichlid
1 lepard ctenopoma
1 common pleco
1 eclipise catfish
1 large crayfish (might be oscar food in the future lol)

Tank 2-pretty sure it is a 180g (6' long and 2' wide). Filtration apears to be 2 large power filters.

Stock:

4 large silver dollars
2 common plecos (one is over 2' long!)
1 fire eel.
a lot of small tetras (neons, blood fins, and black skirts)
mollies-not sure how many
cory cats
about 5 large rainbow fish
about 5 giant dianos

In my opinion these tanks are way under filtered and the large fish and cichlids need to go in the 180g.

Does anyone have any sugestions on what to do with these tanks?

I would move the stock in the 180 (except for the 2' plecos) to the 150 tall, and vice versa.

Thanks!

These two oscars are about 8'' long and get along great. Think they might be a pair? I couldn't vent them, so not sure if they are a male and female.

Also-how many water changes would you do a week on these tanks?
