I just bought a fish tank , it was cleand out and stuff, but if used to house salt water fish and stuff and we wash it but it smells really bad (like dead ocean fish lol) how do I get rid of the smell? anyone ever have that before?

I belive you can you a bleach/water mix at 10 parts water to 1 part bleach.Wash it out then rinse it out well.

bleach 18:1 has worked best for me let it soak overnight though i havent tryed hydrogen peroxide before..

I got a tank from a neighbor that smelled really bad like rotten eggs.badly crusted with hard water stains.Hosed it out left it in the sun for a week then scrubbed it out with vinegar.Smells and looks good as new.

Bleach it, let it sit overnight, empty, rinse, empty, rinse, treat with Prime, empty, fill, add filter, fish, and substrate.
