Hi Folks,

I'm a new member, so I thought I would hello to all right here.

I'm a fan of the Five Star General. About three months ago I put eight WC elongatus juveniles, 2-3", in my 75 Long. I hoped a pair would form and breed. Things are looking good.

Any advice on preparing for fry would be appreciated.

A short video for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfoDwP1d1Ak

Best Regards

I have a pair of frempongi that breed, and a pair that act like they going to but don't. The unproven pair has acted this way for several months but nothing yet. I wish you luck, they look like they want to hopefully they arn't just confused like mine.

Thanks Spaz,

There are six more elongatus in with the pair. I'm not sure when to remove them. Any suggestions?

Also, do I need to cover my filter intakes with pre-filter sponge to prevent fry from being pulled in to the filters?

I've never had a pair breed before.

Don't remove them until you see eggs, from my experience i try not to change anything because i've had mine halt the ritual even if i make adjustments to the other caves in the tank.
