Hemichromis exsul

I know ryansmith83 has some, and I've heard they aren't as mean as either of the hemichromis complexes are usually, so the main thing this thread is about is, what're your experiences with the species? Anything that stands out from other sp in the genus?

Mine are brutally mean. My male killed both females and all but one other male. Now he’s in a 6’ 220 gallon tank attacking cichlids that are 10” long. It takes them a while to get there, but once they’re full grown they are just as pugnacious as other small Hemichromis IMO.
