My friend is moving so he is giving me a pair of 4" Hemichromis Frempongi and I was looking to get some information on them. I have heard that they are aggressive. They will be going in a 150 so I was also wondering if I would be able to have any tankmates w/ them? Thanks.

I actually had put it in the CA/SA section I thought. Then I realized I had put it in the wrong section. I guess one of the mods moved it here though.
I haven't kept H.frempongi but I have kept H.Elongatus & I just picked up a pair of H. fasciatus earlier today.
From what i'be read all 3 are very similar.
The main things I remember about the H.Elongatus is how fast & evil he was.
I had him (3") in a 50breeder with a 5" Bleekeri.

I have Frempongi , You should keep the pair in a tank by themselves to breed and have some fry for the hobby , they are very aggressive as the other five spots can be ,people say there are the most aggressive but I think H. fasciatus is the most aggressive at least from my experience, fasciatus is also the smallest of three but if u try to keep them with other fish you need to try bigger ca/sa cichlids
well i got my frempongi from Ted Judy but one of his pair died and he didnt have any fry left and I got fasicatus awhile ago from some guy in va but he sold his pair
