Tetranematichthyus 004.JPG Any body keep these?

They seem to be more of a live food eater than other shovelnose. Any advise on foods other than worms / small live fish? Had them for several months and I have never seen them eat pellets.Tetranematichthyus 004.JPG

J jaws7777 has had one recently.

I have 2 of these, one I purchased very small 3 years ago that is now about a foot in length and has typical coloration and a slightly smaller one I got in September from an auction that has atypical spotty coloration, especially on the head.

The one I've had for a while initially took chopped earthworms and I was able to wean it on to pellets very quickly. Despite the underslung jaw it greedily takes pretty much everything I throw at it and is a voracious eater, second in the tank pecking order after my largest S. elongatus.

My heavily spotted specimen very readily took tilapia and whitefish chunks off of a feeding stick within a few days of getting it in the tank and now takes chunks that I drop in but it is definitely a less eager feeder and definitely not dominant. It has never taken pellets. I have wondered if it's because I got it at a much larger size (8") than my other Hemisorubim or if it's just the individual fish but it does take meaty and frozen food no problem. I've thrown brine shrimp, clam, squid and shrimp at it with success.
