i was wondering if theese fish are hard to get or pricy. is it true they only get to 50 cm in length? does anyone in austrlia own one or knows where to buy some?

they're uncommon, but not that rare, and sells about $50; but you live in a whole other continent, so i don't know how applies to you.
they don't get very big, probably not even 2 ft, so 50 cm sounds about right.
