I'm gonna be going on vacation for 2 weeks. Can someone recommend a good feeder that'll last that long? I have a 125g w/many fish - two of wich are in the 6-8" range.
My best feeder was named Alberto. He even put a dead fish in some formalin for me!
Seriously though, ask a friend and offer to buy them some beer or a nice dinner or something. Friends also have the added benefit of cell phones, and can call if anything goes wrong!
ive been gone for two weeks and this is what i did:
50% WC the day before i left.
and the day i left i fed the fish two small meals, one in the morning and one
right before i left.
they didnt eat the second week, which is ok because there were all alive when i came back. the only thing different was the water level dropped about an inch.
I don't use an auto-feeder unless I go away for more than a week . . . that being said, if I need to use one, I use an Eheim and set it to feed 1x every other day . . . never had a problem
The fish will be fine for two weeks. Do a WC the day you leave and feed more than normal. Not enough to pollute the tank but just more than normal. They will be fine.
