I've a 6-7" Channa pannaw in a 100G-my research tells me its unlikely to get bigger than this. Could I house an African Pike Characin, Hepsetus ode, in with it longterm?
I read they attack fish that look similar to it and would be concerned about the Pike attcking ghe Channa.
Any body have any experience of these with Channa?

you panaw is sub-tropical , you should not really have a heater in the tank , it may happen that if the fish does not get a cooling period during winter the following summer it develops a infection (we call in channa fro as i appears your channa has an afro)
this then would mean you should not keep the two fish together i.e one sub-tropical and one tropical .

as far as attacking each other is concerned , not really i do not see a problem with the mix other than the temp settings

cheers col
