Re: 210 Aqueon with two megaflows. Can I plumb the two 1" main drains together with a tee then into the gate valve and piped into the sump? Also should I increase the pipe size before or after the tee? Or is 1" adequate throughout?

You can, but it depends on the flow rate you want to achieve. If you want to combine your drains with a T I would at least try to find/make one with a 2" outlet

You could do that, but I think you may have issues with one side flowing more than the other and sucking air. I am not at all sure of this, but I can imagine it happening. Running separate lines with their own gate valves would give you more control.

Running both of your overflows as Herbie drains will mean that you will have to use one of the holes meant for the return line as your emergency overflow. Just a simple standpipe 1/4" above the desired water level will work.

Another option (what I did with mine) is to run one drain as a restricted syphon, Herbie-style. The other drain has a durso standpipe. I have the standpipe high enough so that most of the water goes into the side with the syphon. A little bit (maybe 200-300 GPH out of a 1200 GPH flow) of the water goes down the durso while most of it is silently sucked away by the Herbie.

I did try completely shutting down the gate valve on the syphon to see what would happen. The single 1" durso was able to keep up by intermittently syphoning and sucking air - it made a terrible amount of noise but didn't over-flow.

My current system is much quieter than running both standpipes. Not silent, but very quiet. I'm sure you could make it quieter yet with two Herbies, but I didn't want to give up either return line.

Read 26 pages yesterday and the remaining 30 pages on R33FCentral. Found the answers I've been looking for, page 47.

Thanks Dan F and Arthur for your tips. I will be running my dual 1" mains into 1-1/2" tee controlled by 1-1/2" gate valve. Both 3/4" will be my emergency drains. Time to order some plumbing parts and get my 210 running:headbang2

No need for 1.5in piping, 1in is plenty. I used dual 1.5in and I am moving around 5000 gph and probally could have gone with 1in. You can Save some $$$ and use 1in.

You're probably right but I already ordered my 1.5" gate valve. Anyway it will be 1.5" from the elbows under tank to the tee and down into sump. Not much material there. I just didn't want to chance of constantly adjusting if the dual 1" drains to a tee would fluctuate with each other.
