Anyone have any suggestions on dithers to live with argentea? Obviously I need something with the same herbivore diet requirements as the argentea (not something carnivorious or omnivorous that I want to force onto a vegan diet, IFYKY).

Maskaheros argenteus are not Herbivores. They do need an omnivorous diet to be healthy. I have kept them on a pellet diet with low protein.

As mentioned above, Maskaheros are not strict herbivores. They are omnivores with stomach analysis consisting of vegetation, insects, mollusks crustaceans, and detritus.

They're primarily herbivore. He gets a mix of "veggie" foods that also contain krill, squid, herring, and sardine. He's not just eating lettuce ;) The point is that dithers need to be conducive to this more herbivore than not diet.

Ooh I do quite like tiger barbs, never kept them though. Think a school of them would be appropriate? He's in a 6ft x 2ft, 135gal alone. I'm not the "must be geographically correct" type so long as the living conditions line up.

Not sure they are fun fish, not sure the Vieja wouldn't kill them. Argenteus tend to be very aggressive.
