not an expert but looove the hobby :) just here to share my stories and experiences with the hopes i will help or be helped.. oh and my facebook friends r sick of seein my fish all the time lolzz

80 gal with 50 convict babies and an old practically blind black convict (rescue) and a pink tetra
10 gallon with two golden mystery snails
 
i started out with someone giving me piranhas.. but they hated me lolz

Strangely enough, I have been debating if i want to breed convicts or talapia in my 65.

It's always nice seeing different tank setup ideas.
I'd have never though of tea cups and vases.

Although, that did get me thinking.
For my monster tank build, I'm thinking of a titanic theme.
A dibri field of miniature ceramic kitchenware, tank safe, dollhouse furniture, and one half of a scaled down Titanic laying on the bottom...

That would look nice in a big 700G I think.

You might experience problems with your chosen substrate.

It looks as if its too large to vacuum, and fallen food will easily fall into it where the fish cant get to it, causing ammonia spikes as the food decays.

I do like the creativity though, that's cool!
