Like a bad hair day. But more expensive.

My impeller in one of my 3 Fluvals was making a horrible racket last night. So today I went in (after calling around a lot) and got a new impeller.

.... then I decided to get another impeller for one of my other Fluvals because it was starting to make some ugly noises also. :swear:

Then i remembered that one of the covers had a broken plastic clip. So i decided I should probably get one of those too. :screwy:

Got home, changed one impeller. Great! :)
Changed the other impeller and good thing i got the cover. Because the other clip broke when i opened it.
WHEW!

Both impellers changed and 1 cover replaced.

Went to service my 3rd Fluval and went to take off the cover to the impeller and....... SNAP! :jaw-dropp That cover breaks too!!! :nilly:
(my avatar is actually a picture of me when that happened)

So i scoop up the 2 year old. Off to the LFS before they CLOSE! Got my 2nd cover just in time to fix the 3rd Fluval! :wall:

$60 later. :hypnotize:hypnotize:hypnotize

Good grief. Why can't canisters be made of all metal.

Luckily, before this all i have had to replace on any of my canisters was one of the impellers in the last 5 years!!

So i guess I can't complain.
But sheeeesh. All that in one night. :shakehead

Lmao

As for the impellar cover it certainly is the weak point in the fluval series I broke one too. I keep one on hand now.

The difference between when it happened to me and you is I spilled two trays of substrate pro when it happened somehow (from a F 405) :screwy: Picking them up off the kitchen floor and throwing them in the bucket of tank water frantically was an absolute blast................. with the dogs coming to investigate the dog food looking fish tank smelling ceramic beads..

HAHAAHAHAHA damn that's funny

Are you done now? Lol JK. But I've not experienced anything wrong with my Fluvals....YET.....but I hope mine will lasts as long as yours as it would be a PITA to replace them. Would not complain if I was Opra or Bill Gates but you get the point.

But at least your filters are happy now. And you in a way as you don't have to listen to the annoying filter noise as a plus on your side at least.

EDIT: BTW I totally believe that is you in your avatar! You look very pretty while mad.:D
