Ive got a pair of Jack Dempsey in a 100g tank with other cichlids, the JD's had theyre spawn a couple days ago but the eggs all got eaten. So i am selling the others to make space for this new project of mine.
The reason why i first want to breed the regular dempseys is that i first, want to know how JDs are like when breeding, with fry and so on. Also, i am gonna keep the best looking Juveniles to use in the project.
Here are some pictures of the pair:
Male, 5"

Female, 3"

So are they good specimens?

The female has good blue, and the male has a good ring around his eye, and a lot more will probably show around the face.

The female is rather new so not showing good colours on the body, hope it will change.

Great looking pair! Personally, I wouldnt spend the time and effort trying these out first. Just get to EBJD's and try them out. From my experience they are different at breeding at all.
