Herichthys bartoni 'Media Luna' Breeding pair

This is my pair, they have some wigglers at the moment. The male managed to take out the 8 other fish during the spawning process. I managed to save one other female besides the one he mated with.. just in case. So far they have been doing a great job in caring for the fry together.

Nice pair, i really like these fish in their spawning dress. the biggest male out of the 6 i had went nuts and killed 3 of them now i think i have 2 males one female, i think.

Thank you all! As of the today the cloud of fry are swimming in group all over the tank. Parents are super aggressive towards anything that passes near the tank. They are doing a great job of switching watch over the "herd' lol..

The male is only 4" and the female is slightly smaller. They seem to be just as hardy as any other herichthys type Ive had. I had 12 of these I lost 8 others due to a 3 day pre spawn rant by the male though

This pair occupies a 4' 90-Gallon tank all to themselves now
