I'm getting an order from Rapps tomorrow and at the last minute I added a few H. Deppi after Jeff Recommended them. Does anyone here keep this fish? I can only find little bits and pieces of info on them but they look really cool so I'm kind of excited about this particular fish. Any info that will help me out? They are really small at about 1.5 inches so I need to find a place for them but super excited. This is going to be a fun order. Lots of stuff that I don't currently have.

Me too lol. I can't wait till tomorrow. I have no idea how aggressive these little guys are but Jeff suggested them after I told him i wanted something that was only semi-aggressive so I'll wait and see what they are like.

I remember Tongue33 had some, but I havent seen him around lately.

I picked up three a few weeks ago. They were around the 2" mark. The largest ended up being female (black dorsal at about 3") and promptly killed off the two smaller, this is in a 6' tank too, with other fish.

My only experience so far. :(

Thanks modest man. Do they seem aggressive with the other fish in the tank? I think i'm getting 3 also. Its snowing here today so I hope all goes well with this order.

When I had them in a smaller tank with some sajica everybody was fine. They only killed each other off when I put them in a larger area with less fish. As it stands now, they're the smallest fish by several inches so there was only aggression between the deppi.

Well I got my Deppi and they look great. I can't wait to grow them out. They are in a 125 with Thorichthys Passiones, Sajica, Asfraci, T. Coeruleous and some Nicaraquensis. I hope this combo works because it looks really good right now. I also got some Aureus Golds but they are soooooo small i had to put them in my Gymno tank and i still think they will end up getting eaten but who knows, right now they are eating with the gymno's and look like gymno babies lol. I might stop by pet smart and pick up a 5 gallon tank for them temp. Great order.
