I've got the opportunity to pick up a juvenile pair of these, which would potentially go into a 100g with a slightly larger pair of Amphilophus Nourissati.

Anyone kept Pearsei? Would they be too boisterous for the Blue Mouths? Any views would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rob

i have 1 he is a peacful fish but can stand his grown and will fight back but eventually when he is full grown he will need a tank 24 inches wide because i heard they get huge

A buddy of mine had a WC pair. The male got to 16" before he traded them in.
They were very docile. He had them in a 100long with a fire eel & some clown loaches

Cheers for the comments, guys. Most of the literature I've read indicates they tend to max out at around 8". Is 16" a one off or do they frequently exceed a foot in length?

Mine is around 15 inches at the moment and just keeps growing. Very mellow fish and kind of reminds me of a Oscar personality wise but just better looking. By far one of my favorite cichlids and very interactive.

You've been reading bad info then. These are big cichlids, even reasonable well kept and fed males will always max out well, well over a foot (something like 15-"-16"). Females should reach a foot, or even over also.
Personally, I'd say to house a male pearsei or a pair happily for life one would need a 6x2x2 minimum.

mine is around 15" and is two years old,not to aggressive but can put a hurting on another fish if provoked, mine spares with my 15" bocourti alot but the bocourti starts it,he is in a 180 gallon(for now)and hasnt seem to slowed down growing yet, well over 3 inches thick and 15 inches long and growing
