This has to be one of my all time favorite Cichlids and although its hard for me to get good pics of him this one turned out pretty good. He's the largest of my Cichlids and he's right next to my computer so we're buds.

Well if you do get one you won't regret it. I think the Pearsi is the ultimate wet pet. A true Gentle Giant.
Cichlasoma pearsei. It wont stay in Cichlasoma but it wont go into Herichthys either. Probably a new genus.

Cichlasoma Pearsi sounds better to me than Herichthys. Its currently Herichthys. It doesn't strike me as a Herichthys at all, it just doesn't display any of the characteristics of that group in my opinion.
