Hello fine ladies and gents of mfk I was hoping i could get an ID on my buddy here.

I am thinking it has to be a carpintas due to the large blotchy pearls green/blue and a deep tan/orange base coat. I am also thinking its a female what do ya'll think?

I think female as well

Looks like a carpintis to me, blotches are too big for cyannoguttatum.
Can't tell you the sex from just that photo. The fish looks like it may have a dorsal blotch which is normally more prominent in females.Males can also have a dorsal blotch but not normally as pronounced as a females.

Ya i am thinking Carpintis as well for the blotchy pearls and also the coloring of the pearls and base coat. Here's a new pic

She quickly became the tank boss bullying a ebjd that had 1.5" on her. It was so bad that i had to move the ebjd. Last night i was feeding freeze dried shrimp i held one in my had hoping she would take a nibble, she came up and took the whole thing repositioned it and swallowed it whole even tho it was like half her size lol.

Ya I am sure its a girl. She seems to prefer the single life. She beat the crap out of my male ebjd that had an inch and a half on her. There is also a male firemouth in her tank but she seems to at least tolerate it. Shell chase it around but wont actually beat on it
