Both pairs were showing off to each other last night, no fighting just flaring and displaying. I'm considering separating the pairs, but I don't know if I should disturb them.

They are beautiful, makes me wish I had gotten some from Rapps! I think if they are getting along for the most part I'd just leave them be. Is it just the two pairs in the tank?

No I have some red head tapajos, silvers dollars and small sevs. I might sell the tapajos to make more room.

I would sell the sevs to make room. The red heads look more different than the sevs.?

Well I have a bigger pair of red heads that just spawned in another tank and I don't need 5. The sevs are Iniridaes and it looks like I have 4 males and 1 female spread over 3 tanks, so I might sell off 2 males and keep 2.

Amazing fish Decker... I'm not familiar with them, related to temporalis?

Although I think they resemble Hypselecara, they are the only members of their genus. Actually they act a bit like convicts, but South American. I co have a HUGE Temporalis and a coryphanoides in my 240 though.

One of my fav. fish EVAR ( <~~~~ YES!!! WITH AN A!!!!)!!! I'd keep them in there together, but at least remove that festae from that tank!! LoL

Any new progress? What do you have for breeding substrate? Large round rocks, clay pots, the works? Bump that temp up and then DROP IT!!

I'm keeping two pairs per 55 gallon and they do well. Each pair claims one half of the tank and they usually spawn within a couple days of each other. I end up with what appears to be thousands of fry, and they all kind of intermix and the parents just look after all of them.

One lesson I've learned is to avoid having extra, unpaired Heroina around if you have a breeding pair or two in a smaller tank. They will get beat to hell.

Well I have exactly 2 pairs. Both have spawned, one pair twice already and I have that 1 batch growing out in a 40 breeder. Just gonna take a few tank mates out and add more structure.
