Heros sp. Inirida. Similar to notatus, but with eight (instead of 9) bars and generally red or maroon spotting on the face and body. This is probably being washed out by the dark substrate.

Is it possible LFS and online sellers are throwing around the name of "Rio Curare Red tiger severums", and instead are actually Heros sp. Inirida? I thought I bought a young Tiger Severum, but it looks more like the Heros sp. Inirida. But i'm no expert like.

Attached the only photo I could find. The HRP broke thru and killed the severum overnight. The severum was very peaceful, and doesn't sound like the actual Tiger Severums
That type of divider is so deformable I found I had to secure them with more than friction from the fit-- I used suction cups at the corners, which works unless you're talking about larger, more powerful fish that can push the suction cups.
