Heros ID

The half bar is indicative of H. Severus. I dont recall the number of bands that severus has off the top of my head, but that is my guess with the not so great picture.

If you dont get the response here you want, there is a facebook group "Severums and Uaru fish worldwide" that is decent.

I doubt it's severus. It's more likely a mis-barred efasciatus/rotkeil or possibly one of the Inirida-like species from Colombia/Venezuela. I have a bunch of Inirida from Colombia that have either a half-seventh bar, a quarter-seventh bar, or sometimes only eight total bars. They're highly variable.

You'll have to grow it out a bit and see what the coloration looks like before you know for sure. Unfortunately Heros are like discus -- individuals can pretty easily be mis-barred with Y or forked/fused bars.
