I'll be interested to see how they do, being a strick blackwater species. I hope their eggs aren't as sensitive as the apistos in the same area (which need water with zero hardness and like 5.5 ph or lower to hatch).
while they do resemble young rots or greens these are Inirida. basically named from the collection area.
Hopefully they grow as fast as my atabapos did and get a pr. I'm almost done with the breeding station.
now all I need is someone to find are the black cheek and eye-spot. that I know of will be all.

Well, I think you lucked out. The first pic looks like a female while the last two pics look male. Most Heros can be sexed at about 2 inches based on the red markings in the nuchal area(forehead) of the males. Awesome pickup!
thanks Crystal, I know they'll still do the battle dance before becoming an actual pr if so and I'm still getting the 3rd if it's better. came in pretty beaten but has been healing nicely.
