Ya I’m gonna give it time for the wiggly pattern because he’s still super tiny and my red spot severum I got at 3” didn’t have any wiggly patterns on it’s face at first and now look at it
This method doesn’t always work with H. severus anyway since females can also have facial patterning.
But Heros cannot be sexed accurately by markings until they reach sexual maturity and develop secondary sex characteristics, which won’t happen until they’re at least 6 - 8 months old.
Off-Topic but how long have you had your Red-Spotted Severum for it to grow to this size?
Got him Christmas Last year so about 10 months.
Loved em so much my tanks dedicated to them now. 3 total the red spot a green and the h. severus.
i have 17 6-8 inch blood red severums, and 2 h. severus lol..... i think i have a problem.....
