I never raise enough of these. This pair of fish is one of my favorite pairs. They’ve looked better, but they’re not getting any younger either.

Other than being absolute lawnmowers they’re perfect centerpiece for a community tank
I agree, and one of the best Central Americans, for smallish community tanks .
In nature they like to fan out, and spawn in flooded grass lands.
A one point I had 6 pairs spawning simultaneously in a kiddy pool, only 6 to 8 " deep.

I've got 6 and still waiting for a pair to form. But the current tank jostling is comical to watch.
