Got a 75g with 3 Blood Parrots, 2 6" Geo's, 12" CK, and a senegal & endlie bichir's. Its nice and everyone gets along real well. here lies my problem....in my African 75, I have a 5-6" Cobalt blue african. He is getting a little nasty with the other tankmates. He's just not playing well with the others. All the others are hiding non-stop. The environment has completely changed. My ? is....should I look for another home or move him into my geo tank. He has been acclimated in regards to Ph and salt. Is he goona be too nasty? If he is I'll move his @$$ outta here !!

As bad as this mbuna might be with his current tankmates I would think he'd be more of a terror if you move him to the other tank. Most African Cichlids are used to a little aggression but the Geo's are normally peaceful fish and they might not fare very well, the parrot I don't know much about....Try changing around the decor in the African tank to throw off the fish's sense of dominance or it may be that it just needs a bigger tank to enjoy it's territory.

I agree with the above. The American cichlids in your tank don't have much of a size difference on the cobalt. The cobalt WILL also show aggression towards them.

BEST way would be to add some more mbunas to your african tank. OR rearrange your tank decor to create new territories.

Thanks guys. I'll start finding him a new home; wouldn't want him to drive anymore fish out of the tank...
