It’s, admittedly, small for them at 135 gallons- but they have lived there since they were 2-3 inches. They are the sole occupants. I do give them small fish I raise as treats.
I use a large sponge block prefilter, about 6x6x24 inches paired to an emperor bio wheel- 300 g/h

It has been suggested, (don't remember where I read it) that H multidens, may be the closest ancestral link between African and new world cichlids, goin back to when South America and Africa were part of one super-continent
