Heterotis in a 6'x2'

I'm looking at purchasing an African Arowana for my upcoming standard 180 gallon tank.

Massive aggression has them in at a great price and at around 4". I've researched them and their eating habits as young, and it seems like something that i could probably handle.

However, i would like to know how long you guys think an African Arowana would last in a standard 180? There wouldn't be many other tank mates, and i like to overfilter and over waterchange so that wouldn't be an issue.

How long would he be comfortable in a standard 180?

hmm about 1 years and few months or less,they grow really fast around silvers growth but little slower and africans arent hard to care for if you know how

Only a year? Damn, i was expecting a lot longer than that.

How big did you get yours?

mines currently 14" hey go ask oddball,he had a 2 fter afro

i would say it would be good will it gets to about 20in .....cuz fish dont all grow at the same rate...even given the tanks size
