my redspot severum is sick with hexamita his waste is white, and he is hiding all the time since he got ill and swims heavily and he stopped eating 2 days ago
i at least know why my redspotted severum is infected it started the other day when i brought to my tank a uaru and when i got back to the lfs again he said the tank was infected with hexamita where the uaru were at,the akward thing is that my uaru is healthy and get on after the disease and my severum is now infected,i dont have any experience with metronidazle and i want to know how long is acceptable to maintain the fish under cure and chemicals
he is isolated in a bath now and i just forced feed him a fifth pil of metronidazle with food at 1.5cc is that ok??
i started today with 2 pils of metro 250mg in the tank 84L
i heard it possible to treat the fish with epsom salt but i dont know where to get that treatment and i already started with metro
i would thankfull to suggestion and must important how long and which doses do u think i need to treat my severum he is in a bad shape and stopped eating,as i mentioned i started today and just just forced feed him

i followed the link and there is a chance ill treat my severum with epsom salt,im worried that while my severum is treated with metronidazole he will be overwhelmed with epsom salt as well
im not sure about how much to dosage to put in of metro,i readed that in severe cases like mine i could put 5x time of dosage then normal for 3 days and for example different people say to treat normal for 30 days
so im very not certain how to treat him he seems in severe condition he is not eating and swimming slowly and heavily,i might treat him with eposm salt with force feeding while he is in metronidazole bath
im looking for advises,i would appreciate every help
im really attached to my severum :(

my severum was with his sickness a lot of time in my main tank 75 gallon,im worried that some other fish have the disease transmitted by the severum should i worry about this??
i know its very contagious the heximata disease,is that fine to treat metronidazle to my 75 gallon tank???
in another note,im gonna give my severum epsom salt with his food today hopefully he would recover

I'm not aware of any specific contradictions regarding the use of Metro with Epsome salt. If it was me I would treat the whole tank with metro at this point. Good luck.

I'm currently using metro and Epsom salt simultaneously on a sick festae and its working well. I had the same issue a few months back with my Trimac and he pulled through and is doing great now. Just use 1tbsp/5gal of Epsom. Remember that Epsom raises the pH so don't add too much. Good luck.

All has been said.

Lower the temps of the tank as much as you can...say 22 Celsius

u are joking right??,i raised from 26c to 31c,to help along with the medicines to exterminate the parasites it cannot be done in lower then 29c i think
why to lower the temperatures??

No, i am not joking.

But yes, for hex you do not need to lower temps... Sorry ( was thinking bacterial infection )
