Hey Everyone.
My name's Pete I'm from England (West London)
I've kept outdoor fish (koi's,goldfish and sturgeons) for around 10 years.
As the weather over here is pretty crappy, I don't get to enjoy my fish as much as I'd like to. So have decided to start keeping tropical fish.
I've recently bought two tanks second hand, one is 3ft in size, the other is only a little 18"er. The tanks came with a few bits and pieces old pumps and a few ornaments.
I only got them a week ago, so the smaller tank I have setup and full of water and gravel... But still waiting for the water to be suitable for fish (I'm a complete newbie to tropical fish) So I've been making trips to my local pet store with samples of my water for them to tell me what it needs etc...
The larger tank I'm still trying to find a suitable stand and a few other bits and pieces so thats temporarily on hold. So all my effort is going into the smaller tank at the moment....
As I said I'm very new to all this, so will be reading through the posts on this site a lot to try and learn as much as I can, so I don't encounter too many problems during my setup.
If anyone wants to add em on msn, feel free to. I'd welcome talking to any experienced tropical fish keepers. I'm online a lot for work, so yeah get in touch.
I Look forward to using this forum a lot and hope to make friends with some like minded individuals.
Thanks.
Pete
