Ok 4 days ago I was feeding one of my tanks of Umbee I got from FWP and I noticed the biggest female didn't greet me or even attempt to leave her rock cave so I looked a little closer and so eggs!! but there was no other fish would dare swim any where around her territory .. so I thought I would just keep an eye on them and see what happened ...well they eventually turned white :( so they wasn't fertilized which I am kind of happy cause I am relly wanting them to focus on growth right now, but 2 days later I was watching my Oscars and noticed they was moving the gravel around Majorly and every couple minutes they would swim with their head down next to each other and do a headshake movement and my smaller Tiger Oscar will swim up to the others side and flare and push into its side and the big one is Flaring alot also .. I think they are going to breed but the thing is this is the 3rd day of this and still no eggs is this normal ? how long does it normally take for them to lay eggs ?

There's no way to really tell when they will spawn. They may court for another few weeks before spawning. I like to plump up my females with krill, earthworms, and other goodies when I see them in spawning behavior. Ime it conditions them to want to spawn quicker.

Thanks for the reply bro :) I will buy them some night crawlers today.

I feed kind of weird honestly , I use hikari massivore, hikari Bio gold plus, Tetracichlid Jumbo Sticks(float),Tetra pond food color sticks(float), Ken's Premium 5 stick blend , Ken's premium shrimp pellets. I take and mix them all together then I put the mixture into Cleaned plastic coffee cans that have tight lids

I feed them pellets on Mon. Wed. Fri 2 times a day

Tues & Sat I feed them fresh frozen Shrimp & Scallops 2 times a day Going to add nightcrawlers to this too :)

Thurs and Sun they get a mixture of Pellets and shrimp and scallops once a day

I beleave it feeding them a variety of foods to get the best nutrients they can get , some of the foods I feed I know are on the lower end of fish food but it works amazing the fish are all brightly colored and have Nice full shape and very active so in the end thats all that really matters to me :-)As soon as I get a Decent camera I will post up some pics of my Little collection :)
