I don't where your forum went?

I really am interested in finding a species of Lionfish, do you know where they are from or where I can get one?

Pterious Miles

If they aren't available, I may just pruchase that blue line lionfish..

is that the same as the common miles lionfish because miles lionfish are usually pretty common in the trade i know my store gets them at least once every couple months

i will ask around and see if i can get one the only one's that i know that are around rightn now are the dworf's. red's. and black lion's. If someone has them i will find them. I shold know by the end of the week

Hey Miles,

The P. Miles is often sold as a volitan. I have never seen P. Miles listed on transship lists how ever when I order volitan lions, I get P. Miles every so often. Sometimes whole salers will offer P. Miles but I think that they are doing the same thing, just ordering in volitan and separating the Miles from the volitans and selling them at a higher price. I bet many people own Miles and don't even know it, They are very simular. Kind of a longer face than a volitan though. Wish I could help you find one, I don't know any importers out your way.

Hey, was that your tank I saw a picture of that had two dwarfs and a anteniata?
Anteniata are soooo cool. I have a Radiata right now I'm teaching how to eat, I might end up keeping it. Man it's cool. Tought to get to eat frozen food though....

That's me.. Check out my Avatar..

My first name is Miles, and that is why I want one so bad..

I was under the impression that the P. Miles had 'webbed' fins on the side, unlike volatins.. and in the webbed fins, it had spots, instead of lines.. I saw a few pictures a while back, but can never find any info on them..

and the shops here are hopeless, they are full of arrogance and idiocy, and I would end up paying $150 for a 2" one.

Wow, that is way to much!!!!

All the guys I deal with on the west coast are in or near L.A. I'll ask around and see what I can find out for you. I also saw elce where your looking for a cheep way to buy ghost shrimp. I used to buy them as feeders but I can't remember how much they were and how many I had to buy. I think I had to but 500 or 1000. THey were more that .01 each but they were pretty cheap. I'm at home right now, I'm going to my shop in a few (lunch time) I'll do some nosing around and PM you later today.

It was a couple years ago but I found a site that sold 1000 glass/ghost shrimp at 7 cents each. There were also a couple sites that sold macabrachium 1"-1 1/2" in lots of 5000 for 3 cents each. They were for shrimp farming and I found the add in Mother Earth News.
