my lfs has some super red sevs there selling for 40 buck a piece.saw another cool fish that usually gos for 20 going for 40 this was limas cats. just wondering what you all think over priced or not?

Red sevs generally run from $30-$50 so $40 is not that bad. $40 for a lima shovelnose seems very high to me. They generally run from $14 to $30 for juveniles. If the lima's are decent size they might be worth $40.

I paid $45 a piece for two 2" red sevs a few months back.... so your lfs sounds as bad as mine

here in NYC my LFS has 50 cent piece sized Red Sevs fort 30, and a guy selling 6 inch pair for 80.

One of the chinatown lfs' got a new shipment of super reds in yesterday. $12 bucks a piece same size.

Now thats a deal, are they SUPER reds, like heavy reds or just enough red speckles? What else they have?lol

HEAVY on the reds. That was all I liked. The rest were insanely high grade flowerhorns for like $100-$300. It's the one where you walk downstairs. It has a new owner and he redid the whole shop. Doesn't look like a total sh*t hole anymore haha.

I was there, I saw the new set up and great prices but he had no SUPER reds at the time. I saw the FH's but he had no 100$ when I was there, maybe I should pay a visit.
