hey i have 55gallons and i was wondering how many
Red Bellied Piranha can i put in my 55gallons tank for life , the rule say 20 gallons per RBP and you should have at least 4 RBP so i dont know how many i should get????? :icon_naruto10::icon_naruto10:

yup, you're stuck with zero my friend, the smallest tank for multiple natts would be a 75 gallon tank, where you could safely keep 4 for life. if you only have a 55 and won't be upgrading in the future, you could look into a smaller solo serra, but pygos are out of the question.

you could use the 55 as a grow out, but if you want natts, you would need to upgrade to a larger tank after a bit

you could have some in theyre for sure
just not for life
if u get em at an inch you could have em in theyre for awhile
but alot of people will dissagre with me on that one
but thats my opinion
but if theyre not huge i dont see why u cant get em

I had to keep 3 that were around 8 for about a year in a 55. They had no problem at all. They were perfect. I do not really recommend it though. I feel they should have 35Gal per adult. 30 being the least. I love to look at fish but I respect them. I try to give them as natural of an enviornment as I can. Stuffing them in a small tank isn't my idea of fun.

here's to add another question: How long could he house 5 1 inch Piranha before having to upgrade to a 125 gallon tank? Would he be fine for a year or so without any problems?
