Whats up everyone?

Guess i'm actually an old member heh 2005. But i havent really posted untill last week.... Here's my story......

I'm a lifelong aquarist. I live in louisiana. I was living in new orleans and was doing really good, I had a fishroom with racks of breeding and growout tanks. I was mostly breeding flowerhorns but had many diferent things going. I was doing well enough to nearly quit my job and do fish fulltime.....

Then Katrina came through... It was pretty aweful. The house made it through ok but I had a branch through the window and a rack with 2-75g's was knocked over. To make matters worse, we had to evacuate and werent allowed back into the city for 3 weeks. Needless to say 3 weeks without power isnt good for fish.

I was so discouraged and broken that i gave up completely on aquariums.

Guess thats why i have been a member at MFK since '05 and have never posted.

Anyways i'm back full force. I have a few pairs and I hope to get some quality flowerhorns, Red texans, and great gymnogeophagus to you guys in the near future.

Good stuff. Come back fighting.

welcome to MFK... so sorry to hear all of your hard times through Katrina.. so sad... hard to even imagine what you went through.,..but very good to hear that somehow you bounced back... and we welcome you and are proud that you were able to do that... happy fishkeeping days ahead for you..... and let us share your accomplishments as you go... welcome back lets meet up at bro bridge sometime for some mudbugs.

LOL....Breaux Bridge is my hometown. And crawfish are cheap right now!! Crawfish festival isnt far away.

I was pretty lucky for the storm. Only my hobby suffered. Thanks for the nice words though.
