I've finally joined this site after lurking for some time now. I belong to other forums specifically catering to Oscars, and I have learned a lot of information there. Through some trial and error, I have taught myself a lot about keeping a healthy aquarium. However, one can never stop learning and so I'm here.
Currently I am running an Emperor 400 on a 30 gallon tank, which includes a breeding pair of Convict cichlids (the male is FEROCIOUS), some of their babies, and 2 green puffers. I wish up upgrade to a 55-75 gallon tank in the near future (1-2 months). My biggest money issue is filtration, as I don't want to pay upwards of $300 on adequate water circulation. I have been scouring the 'net trying to find adequate DIY instructions, and I've seen all the w/d sumps using home depot buckets and pot scrubbers, all without detailed instructions. I think I've found the right place.
Thanks for all your help in advance!
