Hey, just joined this spiffy looking site :) I'm a 22 year old male from NYC. I've been keeping fish now for quite a few years. Currently I have a 90 gallon community tank. I was directed here because my picture taking of my fish is just what word should I use...."Under Par" sounds good to me. I'm hoping to learn how to actually take some good pics!

Well, this is the best I have been able to do..

hey nice pimplehead. How big? I have a 1" one with a huge red pimple on top of his head.

Re: pic, it's a bit dark. It's good that you are trying to take pics w/out flash, I hate flash, but you just need more lighting. Do you have any other strips? if so just add them on top of the tank, as many as you have or can fit. You will get much nicer pics. Beyond that you should read the rules in Photography 101 and post a "help needed" post in there, you will get lots of help if you list your equipment well.

Welcome to our forum [smilie=laugh.gif] Enjoy!

re; Hey

He's about 2.5 inches at the moment. He's 1 of my trio, the female is currently holding eggs. As for lighting, right now i have 200 watts coming out of 4 different bulbs sitting on top of my tank, I do have an extra strip light sitting around so maybe that will help.

wow, 200W should be producing more light. What kind of camera is it? does it have manual mode? if yes, you can play with the shutter speed and aperature to get the right exposure.

Update your camera in the profile so that people can see what you use.
