help me ,i put my convict and HRP and a few of their bigger fry into my cycled 30 gallon tank ,and than later that day i bought a salivini and the HRP and con are shpwing extreme agression to the poor salivini

(p.s the con is round 2" HRP 1.5" and the sal round 1.2"

it is a small tank, the established cichlids tend to do that with new cichlids most of the time

especially breeding pairs of cichlids

Is this your flametail con project tank? If so I wouldn't keep anything but the pair in the tank.

the tank is 30 gallons ,the HRP and Con have spawned befor ,but as i said the HRP and con were put in this moring and i got the sal later today

no ,its not in that tank

the only thing i can suggest is to get rid of the salvini, he will eventually grow out the 30 gallon and unless you got a larger tank, 45G+ then ure gunna have to get rid of the salvini sooner or later.

the cons are attacking it because thats what they do, if u had a larger tank and the cons werent already settled in then there is a possibility that they might be ok but if the sal stays in there with the cons, its not going to have a very long life.
