Hi everyone!

Looks like an interesting site. I am a 30 year hobbiest, former aquarium store owner, current emergency physician, and have kept everything from the simplest critter to the near impossible over the years. I am right now rebuilding my collection, settling in after some frequent moves. I am interested to see and read about what everybody's got.

you're a doctor? can't imagine what nice large tank options you have with a salary like that! :cool:

You into cichlids, arrowana, datnoids, rays, what?
 
Freshwater wise, I actually am into arrawanas, but into large and cold water cats as well. Weird interest, I know, and requires a lot of tank space. Also into half-beaks, but have trouble finding 'em any more. I also have an affection for venemous marine species, and marine invertebrates. More mundanely, my 12 year old and I like to breed discus, which can be very interesting, if not exactly monster fish.

With regard to availability of funding for my aquaria, I still have to have WifeK approve the budget, and she is not quite as fond of fishies as the kids and I. Furthermore, can you ever really have enough money for this hobby? I think not.
