Welcome! I did they same. Every time I researched a fish I liked this site kept popping up and was very useful. So I joined. So did you get an arowana?
Thank you. No after reading what some of the guys were saying regarding tank mates I don't know if I will.. I have a 520L tank with two oscars, two plecos and one bala shark. None of them are that big yet (except the one pleco - my pride and joy 
) so I would hate it if something happens to them. The arowana I had my eye on is quite large already. But perhaps I will do some more research.. or buy another tank !

this is an old photo. the yellow colour in the water was from the wood and I have sorted it out with a Purigen bag. you can see my Bala in the background. Sorry its not the best photo but I haven't quite mastered the art of fish photography
