hi just joined the forum i have allways loved monster fish and have have a few large tanks in the past i have had rays gars and peacock bass in the past but had to sell them on when they got to big for my glass tanks my biggest tank was 8x2x2 . I had had a break from keeping fish for about 10 years when a friend asked me to take him to his lfs and this i did and they had some baby temeniss bass so i got them and a small tank and some mature water from the shop . So it begins again that was 2 weeks ago now i had to think what to do for a tank so i did some research on plywood tanks and this weekend got the materials and started the build on my 8x3x3 plywood tank if my calculations are right should be 536.6 gallons . I followed a build series on youtube of a guy who had a black tank with an arrowana in but i have a few questions that the vids do not answer .The fist one is will 20 mm glass be ok and what type do i buy the second is my tank will be floor mounted so no where to put a sump what are my options for adequate filtration and i am putting some picks up on the build so far to see what you guys think as i dont want it to go wrong lol thanks in advance
