First I'd like to thank everyone here who has contributed their knowledge and experiences.
I've been lurking for over a year and have learned a lot. Figured it was about time I post up and thank you for the help-
I recently got back into the hobby and set up a 55 gal (48'' long). I plan to upsize to 90-125, ... within the next 1-2 years.
The tank has gone through quite a few changes since I originally set it up about 9 months ago.
I've settled (for now) with river sand, Driftwood, and few live plants...

Fluval 305 canister (recently added)

2 Geophagus Tapajos
1 Satanoperca
1 Electric Blue Ram
1 Blueface Apistogramma
4 Neon Tetras (originally used to cycle the tank)
1 Royal Pleco (2.5'')
1 Blue Phantom Pleco
