You can try with full size dwarf snakeheads but you will eventually have an issue. I have had a big aro take down high bodied fish bigger than a dwarf snakehead. What species you looking at?

The auranti snakehead. N hey thats what the forums for cing if it might work before I try it. I was told on here that datnoid go well with arowana but mine didnt so IM just gonna keep trying till I find something that works.

No no no.
Auranti is a SUB TROPICAL Channa. Needs water much much to cold for an Arowana.
 
If you already have an 18" aro, enjoy it. When you no longer have it, set up a single species tank for channa with correct conditions and enjoy them.

They are awesome fish when kept correctly.
