Hello All!

Just to introduce myself ... My name is Wayne and I come from Wales.

I recently bought a tank (1st one) for my kids / family to enjoy and i have to admit i wasn't keen on the idea of keeping fish, however as soon as i seen all the different varieties of fish at my local aquarium centre, I can't wait to get started with our first fish.

Can anyone please help me with my setup?

I'm setting up a coldwater tank and they advised me to set the tank up and leave it for a week to settle before i introduce the first fish.

All i want to know is how much dechlorinator and bacteria do i have to put into the tank?

Hi and welcome!, To help things out you can start by becoming more familiar with the forums. Start looking at all the parts of the forums and read up on the sticky's "The Topics" that you think that will apply to you. Also there is a search function you can try to find answers to questions that have already been asked in the forums.

This part of the forums is for the introduction of new members,
But you will want to post direct questions about your setting up of your tank in this part Setup and Filtration your questions will be better answered there.

Be sure to list as much information as possible, Size of tank, what filters you have and what fish you want to keep and so on. There's allot of great people here, and Im sure you will get the help you need.

Best of Luck!

hi around about 24hours 4 enough bacteria
This is actually more like a month. OP, try reading here about freshwater cycling:

Cycling is an absolutely critical step, but the one most often overlooked by beginning hobbyists. This is the reasons you'll hear folks say, "Yeah, I bought all new fish, and they didn't last a week!" Understanding the cycle is the first step to success!
