I am going to be setting up a new 75 gallon and want to breed Pseudotropheus saulosi
but I am having a hard time figuring out tank mates I want to avoid the possibility of cross breeding.I'm only looking for one other cichlid or should it just be a single species tanks? (PH 7.8 right out of the tap)

possible stock

15-20 saulosi ? how many if single species tank
? what

I already have these in another 75 so I'm looking for something different

8 yellow lab
trio socolofi tumbi point
7 rusties
trio ob peacocks (I know hybrids)

another question the rusties are not breeding what could I replace them with

thanks

How about some maingano or Johanni ??

The rusties are probably living in fear of the Socolfi beating the crap out of them.

the Rusties will fight with the labs and the male socolofi flies across the tank to get between them he doesn't put up with any crap in HIS tank, from everything I have read the rusties are supposed to be less aggressive too bad no one told them.
I do want the maingano's were you suggesting replacing the rusties with them or in the new tank? in the new tank I was worried about the stripes even though they go a different way
