hi fellas need some advice

hi fellas...

i recently set-up my 4ftx2x2 tank and i haf the intentions of keeping a gar wif 2 of my channa bleheris... tapping on the expertise of you guys would u mind giving me some advise on wad breed of gars here i could do as tank mates wif the bleheris... i'm looking 4ward 2 hearing response and suggestions...

spotted/florida gar, tropical gar, dont try longnose or alligator unless you ALREADY have a larger tank/pond. cuban gars are extremely sensitive to water fluctuations and shortnose gars and gator gars are basically psychotic and ill advised. how big do blehris grow? the smallest gars get is ~24inches

i'd like to reiterate that. sorry was in a rush.

with a 422 you could house a florida/spotted/tropical gar for a couple of years. dont try longnose or alligator unless you ALREADY have a larger tank/pond. cubans are really sensitive to water parameters so i'd advise against it unless the tank is very stable(coming from personal experience). i dare not comment on growth rate though.

again, shortnose gars and gator gars are basically psychotic and ill advised. shortys are jumpy and suicidal and gators will kill everything in the tank on top of outgrowing within the year.

dont do bleheris.
theyre cold water fish and most definitly will be eaten.

Xander wad i've heard is tat the max growth for Bleheris is about 8 inches... so wad's a good gar i could do wif bleheris? advice?

not 8 inches...6 inches.
any gar will outgrow and eat a bleheri.

in my opinion bichirs are the best tankmates for gars. any gar will easily eat a 6" fish if they are the right size.
